ANNUAL REPORT 2015 2 Making Dreams of a Brighter Future Come True Dear Friend of Woodbourne: The key to any agency’s success is the ability to maintain stability while also making necessary changes. At Woodbourne Center, we underwent a significant amount of change in 2015 and came out strong. In 2015, being a trauma-informed organization became the driving force in our treatment, interactions with parents, and in planning and development with referral sources. This culture change caused us to make some necessary changes in our leadership. We were grateful to be able to promote hardworking current members of our staff who have already devoted so much time and energy to Woodbourne. You’ll read more about those individuals in this report. The Woodbourne team was able to stabilize and flourish financially. Since July 1, 2015, we exceeded our budgeted census for our residential treatment center, and even hit maximum capacity. Without financial stability, our mission to Strengthen Lives, Families, and Communities through our Cornerstone Values cannot be met, and every department played a role in this turnaround. The success going forward will be the result of these departments continuing to work together to serve the needs of our kids and families. Our goal for 2016 is to expand our continuum of care, as the needs for our kids and families require additional support to achieve long-term success. Our plan is to open a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and an Outpatient Program. These two programs will allow us to work more closely with the community and will help us to solidify better outcomes for our kids. Our Vision is to be a Premier Provider: the first choice for families and agencies. Every day, we work to see that this vision becomes reality in the lives of the kids and families that we serve. Thank you for your support in this endeavor, as it takes a full team to accomplish this goal. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you, Tony Wison Woodbourne Executive Director
